GOSEHR is funded through three distinct channels: donors, equity investors and grants.
Donors contribute to our associated Universities and NGOs, with funded being designated for the GOSEHR initiative. For university funding this means providing for scholarships on the Applied Health Informatics masters program. Donations to NGOs are made specifically to support their activities related to the deployment of EHR, through GOSEHR, in the countries in which they operate.
Equity Investors buy in to the operations of Seven Informatics, the company which owns the copyright to the open source cityEHR product and which both develops the product and provides third-line support to its deployment by partner Community Companies.
Grant Funding is made through applications to recognized grant funding organizations, supporting the academic and commercial initiatives of GOSEHR.
