About GOSEHR

Creating sustainable programs for the deployment of open source EHR in participating countries

Our Mission

The GOSEHR initiative creates sustainable programs for the deployment of open source EHR in participating countries, with the ultimate aim of improving patient outcomes and delivering better healthcare, within existing budget constraints.

Our Vision

A world where every healthcare provider has access to high-quality, open source electronic health record systems that are clinician-led, structured, and designed to improve patient care.

Our Story

GOSEHR was launched at a summit meeting held at St Edmund Hall, Oxford in March 2024.

Academics from the University of Oxford (UK), the University of Victoria (Canada), the Norwegian eHealth Research Center, the National University of Water and Environmental Engineering (Ukraine) and the African Digital Health Research Institute run the education programme and coordinate the research for GOSEHR.

GOSEHR is supported by funding from Seven Informatics Ltd, a company based in the UK, together with grant and donor funding.
